Empingham Church, also known as St. Peter’s Church, is a historic church located in the village of Empingham, near Rutland Water in Rutland, England. It’s a wonderful place to visit for those interested in architecture, history, or simply seeking a moment of peace and reflection.
I can remember living about 1 mile away from the Empingham church at Rutland. I watched them build the reservoir as a child. We resided at RAF North Luffenham at the time, before we moved to Stamford.

I particularly love this photograph. It was taken from a friend’s place, on the Stamford St Mary’s Bridge. Stamford is the town I mainly grew up in.


The Rutland Museum is a cultural institution located in Oakham, Rutland, UK. It showcases the history, heritage, and art of the local area, including exhibits on archaeology, natural history, and local industries. The museum often hosts events, workshops, and educational programs for visitors of all ages.
