Pocahontas

I can remember the year this Disney film was released. It was the year my youngest daughter Lauren was born, 1995.

During my youth, I frequently spent time beneath the willow tree at the Stamford Meadows. I particularly enjoyed reading in this serene location on summer Sunday afternoons.

Of course, I grew up in Stamford Lincolshire. This is a photograph of the very same tree in Stamford. I used to have a lovely photograph of my daughters playing here as children during a family picnic. I loved this willow tree. Similar to “Old Mother Willow.”

The film starred actor Mel Gibson, Christian Bale, and Irene Bedard.
