I believe in respecting individuals’ right to their own beliefs. I was raised by two Roman Catholic parents; my father later converted to the Church of England, although he was born a Roman Catholic. My parents did not impose their religion on us, but as children, I was privileged to hear and appreciate some beautiful stories from a children’s Bible.
During my childhood, I regularly attended church services on Sundays and subsequently took my First Holy Communion Vows in Salisbury, Wiltshire, when I was 7 yrs old. The Service was conducted by Father Barry, who used to take me for catechism classes..
