I attended the Peterborough Festival at Ferry Meadow a couple of weekends ago. It was a lovely Sunday afternoon.

I had the pleasure of having Sunday afternoon tea at The Orton Hall, with Debbie not so long ago. It was a nice and peaceful afternoon.
Orton Hall in Orton Longueville, near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, is a historic country house built mainly in the 17th and 18th centuries, though parts are even older. It was originally a manor house for the Calthorpe family and later the Fitzwilliam family. The building is made from traditional stone, with elegant period features like grand fireplaces and oak panelling.
Today, Orton Hall is a hotel, set within about 20 acres of parkland and mature woodland.
There’s also a church, Holy Trinity Church, right next to it.

A lovely film This evening, I attended a showing of “Snow White” at the Showcase Cinema. While I am too young to have watched the original animated Disney film at the cinema, when it was first released in 1938, I have seen it on dvd several times since then. Interestingly, one of my first dates with my ex-husband was to watch “Snow White” at the cinema. 🤣
The film featured several notable characters, including Bashful, Dopey, Doc, Sneezy, Happy, and Grumpy.
The film starred Rachel Zegler as Snow White, Andrew Burnap as Jonathon, and Gal Gadot as the Evil Witch.
I thoroughly enjoyed the film, as I felt a strong connection to Snow White. Its release coincided perfectly with Mother’s Day. I embrace the notion of being more like Snow White than the Wicked Witch. 😉
Overall, I found the film to be highly enjoyable and well worth a watch for both adults and children.
