The spacecraft is expected to reach a whopping 23,839 mph as it speeds back down to Earth before safely splashing down in the Pacific Ocean.

I stayed awake last night to welcome the 4 astronauts home. I watched splashdown live. It was so incredible. They were all given the ok by each of the four medical officers assigned to each of them. The whole mission was approximately
9 days, 1 hour, and 32 seconds. It was a Mission Possible π
I watched them set up the porch around Integrity, as the Orian Four all slowly emerged to eagerly await the rescue mission, which entailed them all being safely hoisted into the helicopters.
