Prom day refers to the culmination of  school or sixth form where students get dressed up in formal wear, take group photos, enjoy a celebratory dinner, attend a formal dance, and participate in after-parties. It serves as a major rite of passage and final farewell to classmates before moving on.

I can remember both of my daughters attending their prespective schools.
