Someone once described me as having a positive aura. It was a compliment, a very nice compliment. It is also something I look for in a partner.
Q. What is having a Positive Aura?
An “aura” is often described as a subtle field of energy that surrounds living beings, including humans, animals, and even plants. It is believed by some spiritual and metaphysical traditions to represent the essence or energy of an individual.

Must Watch Films
I have just watched the true-life film ‘Gifted Hands’ on Netflix.
I must say that this is a very watchable film.
There were a few tears during some very touching moments.
The film tells the story of a small-town boy who probably wasn’t the brightest of buttons, but who pushes himself to become one of the top surgeons in the country, with the help of a doting mother.
The operation to separate conjoined babies is possibly one of his most successful operations. He is an amazing man.

I have placed my vote today. This year I had to take proof of ID, so I gladly took my British passport. 🙂
The suffragettes were activists in the late 19th and early 20th centuries who fought for women’s right to vote. Originating in the United Kingdom, the movement was characterized by its members’ use of direct action and sometimes militant tactics to draw attention to their cause. Key figures in the suffragette movement included Emmeline Pankhurst and her daughters Christabel and Sylvia, who founded the Women’s Social and Political Union (WSPU) in 1903.
The suffragettes engaged in a variety of actions, including protests, hunger strikes, and acts of civil disobedience such as chaining themselves to railings, breaking windows, and even arson. Their slogan, “Deeds, not words,” emphasized their commitment to taking action rather than relying solely on peaceful protest or lobbying.
While their tactics were controversial and sometimes divisive, the suffragettes were instrumental in raising public awareness and support for women’s suffrage. Their efforts, along with those of more moderate suffragists who used peaceful methods, ultimately contributed to women gaining the right to vote in many countries. In the UK, women over the age of 30 gained the right to vote in 1918, with equal voting rights with men achieved in 1928.
