How wonderful to see the Royal Family at the Trooping the Colour. A huge event for the British, to feel proud of. The day is to mark the King’s official birthday.
It was lovely to see Princess Kate and The King on the balcony, especially after what they have both been through recently.
Trooping the Colour is a ceremonial military parade in the United Kingdom that marks the official birthday of the British Sovereign. Held annually in June on Horse Guards Parade in London, it features the regiments of the British and Commonwealth armies.
Here are the key elements of the ceremony:
- Historical Significance: The tradition dates back to at least the 17th century. “Trooping the Colour” refers to the practice of regiments parading their flags (“colours”) so soldiers could recognize them in battle.
- Participants: The parade involves over 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses, and 400 musicians. The Household Division, comprising the Foot Guards and the Household Cavalry, plays a central role.
- The Ceremony:
- The parade begins with the regiments marching onto Horse Guards Parade.
- The Colour (regimental flag) is then “trooped” through the ranks.
- The King (or Queen) arrives and takes the salute from the troops.
- Royal Presence: The monarch inspects the troops from a carriage or horseback. Other members of the Royal Family also attend, often riding in carriages.
- Flypast: The event concludes with a flypast by the Royal Air Force, watched by the Royal Family from the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
- Public and Military Spectacle: The event is a significant public spectacle and a major ceremonial occasion for the British Army, emphasizing discipline, precision, and military tradition.
Trooping the Colour is not only a display of military prowess but also a celebration of the monarchy’s role in the UK’s history and culture.

This sounds quite deceitful and very scheming. 😱
Basically, a woman, named Lacey, did not trust her then-boyfriend, Robert. He was rather hot but he knew that he was.
He’d asked Lacey to marry him just a few days ago. She said “Yes” however something kept niggling at her about him.
So Lacey decided to test Robert. She managed to get one of her hot best friends Maggie to find him on the internet and to keep plaguing him with cute little messages. He eventually responded to Maggie.
She then went back to Lacey to report what he had said to her.
He told Maggie that he found her to be very attractive and then he arranged to meet up with her.
Lacey felt anger creeping up inside of her. Later that day she gave Robert a hard time, however, he could not understand why Lacey was behaving in the most peculiar manner. He genuinely loved her and felt hurt.
The following day, Maggie was getting dressed to meet Robert, for a date. Lacey was still angry.
Robert telephoned Lacey earlier that evening to say that he was stopping in to watch some TV that evening and that he would not be coming over. Lacey was in a state because she knew that her boyfriend was meeting one of her besties.
Lacey could not wait for Maggie to get home that evening so that she could report on their hot date together. She decided to have an evening at home and she watched a Netflix movie.
When Maggie returned home, later that evening, she had a huge beaming smile on her face. She told Lacey that they had a great evening and that he was a ‘Good Kisser.’
Lacey felt even more annoyed and upset. She then heard a message ping on her mobile telephone. It was Robert. He messaged Lacey to tell her how much he was missing her. Lacey messaged him back calling him “A Rat!” They didn’t speak together for days afterwards.
Maggie lived a few houses away from Lacey and she popped into Lacey’s home, after a day’s outing with Robert. She excitedly mentioned that they’d had another date together at the funfair. She showed Lacey a few photographs on her mobile phone, but she realised that when she looked closely at the photographs, the guy in the photo was not Robert at all! Who was he? 🤫🫨
She immediately telephoned Robert and she’d explained to Robert what had happened and that she was sorry for the silly prank she’d played, but she wondered who had met Maggie for the date.
Robert laughed out loud and he told Lacey that he’d sent a good friend to meet Maggie because he had found it strange that some random woman kept texting him. He thought it was a prank and decided to play a prank back!
He had also seen Maggie leaving my home a few days later! When he turned up at my home to ask for an explanation. He was able to put two and two together. Robert had not met Maggie before and so Lacey’s scheming plan had backfired.
Robert had been very cross with Lacey and he wondered why she would try such a thing, however, they both laughed about it together.
Kissing and making up can be so much fun sometimes. 😁

I watched this film recently. I enjoyed watching it. It is on Netflix presently and it stars Bernice Bejo. It is well worth a watch.

A. I want to vote for the party that can prove to me that they are going to tackle the immigration problems we have in this country.
The party who are going to tackle the climate change.
The party who has the NHS at heart and who wants to improve it. The party that will improve our education system and who help the teachers.
I also want to vote for the party that will not put taxes up and that will help ordinary folk who work hard for a living to earn and have a little extra in their pockets each month. The party that has us/the ordinary folk at interest.
I want to vote for the party that will invest more money into our care homes. Who will help the elderly lead a better quality of life and not to write them off.
