  • One of my work colleagues, Lezanne, celebrated one of her ‘Big’ birthdays today. The girls who work in her office decorated it beautifully, for the occasion

Thanks to Sue, for baking these amazing cupcakes. They looked delicious and they tasted delicious. πŸ˜‹

    Yummy Cupcakes

Today brought back fond memories of me working in the offices at the Thorpewood  Police Station and when the girls that I worked with, decorated my office for one of my special events. It was so sweet of them, but also very funny. In fact, all of the people I worked with back then, were fun. We often socialised together on non-work days.

Lol I can remember the streamers falling from the ceiling and I had my typewriter sabotaged with lots of decorative bits and bobs all over it. Haha, and the big poster of a man with nice abs, and a huge cotton wool ball stuck to his belly button, as belly button fluff. I could not stop laughing for the rest of the afternoon.

I loved those days. We often went out for birthday treats in the afternoon, whenever it was someone’s birthday.

Of course, I would often be the one taking the photographs. I have no idea where some of them are. However, I can remember setting my timer on my camera and rushing back to get in on the photo.

On one occasion, I thought I’d forgotten to press the shutter button on the camera, and I rushed back, into position, only for all of us to be laughing hysterically waiting for the camera to click! There was a slight delayed reaction, but I managed to capture the most wonderful photograph of all of us laughing.

Those were such happy days. I wish we could all step back in time.πŸ˜€

  • A few years ago, friend Anita and I went to see Bradley Cooper perform in The Elephant Man, at the Westend, London, for my Birthday. On the same day, we also saw Brad Pitt in the audience. He went to watch the show too, by coincidence, it was actually on my Birthday! We had a fabulous day.

Going to the theatre in London’s West End is an experience filled with anticipation and excitement. The vibrant atmosphere as you walk along the streets, adorned with dazzling marquees and bustling crowds, sets the stage for an unforgettable evening. Inside the historic theatres, the ornate dΓ©cor and plush seating evoke a sense of grandeur and sophistication. As the lights dim and the curtain rises, you’re transported into a world of captivating performances, where talented actors bring stories to life amidst stunning sets and evocative music. Whether it’s a classic play, a blockbuster musical, or an innovative new production, the West End offers something for every theatre lover, making each visit a truly magical experience.

A picture of me, before the show we had a lovely pub meal. We arrived in London fairly early and we hit the shops. It was a fun day.
Lol I was this close to Bradley after the show, and I had ‘camera shake.’ I took this blurry photograph of him, it was just so funny. You wait a long time to just be able to get a snapshot of one of your favourite actors, and it turns out blurry. 😁
This car came to pick Bradley up and it sped away

  • It is a beautiful day here in my home town, England, Cambridgeshire.

Whilst sitting in the conservatory eating breakfast it is like embracing the morning in a tranquil sanctuary. The soft sunlight filters through the glass, warming your skin as you savor your meal amidst the greenery, with the gentle hum of nature as your soundtrack. It’s a serene start to the day, where time seems to slow down, allowing you to appreciate the simple joys of life.πŸ™‚
