  • A Full English Breakfast – A Hearty Breakfast

    May 11th, 2024

A full English breakfast typically includes bacon, sausages, eggs (fried, scrambled, or poached), baked beans, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, black pudding, and toast or fried bread. It’s a hearty meal often served with tea or coffee.

I must say that this was indeed one of my favourite breakfasts last year. I was staying in a lovely little seaside town, at Bacton. My room overlooked the sea and I took some lovely walks along the beach.  It was a chill out few days and it was completely relaxing.

Such a hearty breakfast, a full English Breakfast sets you up for the day.

  • Farewell

    May 10th, 2024

Saying goodbye to a staff member can be bittersweet. It’s a chance to reflect on the time spent together and wish them well in their future endeavours. Remember to express gratitude for their contributions and perhaps plan a farewell gathering to send them off with warm wishes.

It was very sad to say goodbye to a member of staff today. She is off to pastures new and the whole department popped in to say goodbye to her. It was raining a few tears in the Rainforest today. 🙃🙂 They are all a nice bunch of members of staff.

All of the people in attendance were people I have worked alongside with, for the past few years and they/I were sad to see this member of staff leave.

She was a dedicated member of staff who always made parents, with children, feel at ease, whenever they visited the Department. 🤗

There were some nibbles and cakes and everyone seemed cheery because they wanted to give this member of staff a good send-off.

Goodbye for now and I hope to visit Bulgaria one day, to take some lovely photographs.

    Frances x

Ps I was only 3/4 when this film was made….all of those years ago.  😀

  • Llucmajor, Mallorca

I’m on my way to Mallorca

Excitement, I was finally on my way to visit Llucmajor, Mallorca.

Visiting Llucmajor is like stepping into a postcard of Mediterranean beauty. As you arrive, you’re greeted by the warm sea breeze and the sight of quaint, cobblestone streets lined with colourful buildings adorned with vibrant flowers. You can wander through the town’s historic centre, where centuries-old churches and charming squares await exploration. Don’t forget to visit the local markets, where you can sample delicious fresh produce and browse handmade crafts. And of course, a trip to Llucmajor wouldn’t be complete without spending some time relaxing on the nearby beaches, soaking up the sun and swimming in the crystal-clear waters. It’s a place where time seems to slow down, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty and tranquility of island life.

I came home with a glorious suntan

We arrive at our destination. Home for just over a week. It was lovely and secluded and I had one of the most peaceful and relaxing holidays, in such a long time. The weather was glorious for the entire holiday.

This was a little suntrap. It was where I loved to lie back, in the hammock and simply soak up all of that Mediterranean sunshine (look back on my earlier post, about 2 weeks ago)

    More photos to follow

This was a favourite place to have breakfast. 🙂
This is my paperweight made with my photograph. Aww, such lovely memories.
I loved the Bougainvillaea. It reminded me of when I resided in Cyprus. They are my favourites. 🙂

Bougainvillea is a vibrant and colorful flowering plant known for its stunning display of papery bracts in shades of pink, red, purple, orange, or white. It’s a popular choice for gardens and landscaping due to its ability to thrive in warm climates and its drought tolerance. Bougainvillea vines can climb, sprawl, or be trained into various shapes, making them versatile and eye-catching additions to outdoor spaces.

This cosy sunbed was on my balcony. I had a lovely outlook. I used to sit up here whilst singing on the karaoke site, Smule. There was one guy I liked to sing with, he resembled Tom Cruise. It made me hot and bothered. 😀
    The views from my balcony
This was one of my favourite benches, at the villa. I used to read her a lot. I had a paperweight made from this photograph

This was one of my favourite dining areas at the villa.
This was a nice little touch. My sister added our names onto our plates, for decorative purposes. I am Frances, however, friends and some family members call me Fran.
Adding orange slices to every dining table, when eating alfresco, can be so refreshing on the pallet
If it became too hot at night, you could quite easily fall asleep outside. 💓
The pomegranate fruit is round and typically about the size of an apple, with a thick, leathery skin that ranges from yellow-orange to deep red. Once you cut it open, you’ll find clusters of juicy, ruby-red seeds (called arils) nestled within compartments separated by bitter, white membranes. The seeds are surrounded by a translucent, juicy pulp that bursts with a sweet-tart flavour. I could reach across my balcony. 🙂
A lovely walk into Llucmajor Town
This is the beautiful book I made when I returned from my holiday. It features all of my photographs in it.
This was one of the best little restaurants in the area. The food was perfect.
    I ❤️ Paella it is a favourite
I celebrated my Birthday whilst we were away on holiday. We went for a lovely meal in Validemossa.

  • Aww Singing On Smule With People From Around The World 🙂

    May 10th, 2024

I love my site because it means that I get to sing with people from around the world, which is what this site is all about. I am so fortunate to have travelled to many countries around the world….and I hope to travel to many more in the future.

This is the very first song I sang on Smule, about 7 years ago. It was a duet. “CITY of Stars” from LaLa Land

I love this song. “Have I Told You Lately That I Love You 🙂 Lol I have never sung with a lion before, bearing in mind my star sign is Leo the Lion.
