  • The old Stamford Bridge, home to Chelsea Football Club, was a historic stadium known for its intimate atmosphere and iconic features like the East Stand. It had a rich history dating back to its opening in 1877, witnessing countless memorable matches and events before being rebuilt and modernized in the late 20th century.

I had the pleasure of visiting Chelsea FC, and Stamford Bridge just a few years ago.

A statue of Peter Osgood – Ossie was a shadow of the player we had once known although his two goals during that spell took his Chelsea total to 150, the joint-fifth highest individual tally in our history. Tragically, Peter suffered a heart attack and died in March 2006 at the age of just 59. 😦
  • I sat at the Victoria Train Station once drinking coffee as I “people watched.” There were so many people rushing around like little ants.🙂

Imagine rushing around as a bustling colony of ants, each one scurrying around with a sense of purpose and determination. They work tirelessly, navigating through obstacles and challenges, always striving to achieve their goals. Like ants, rushing around is dynamic, industrious, and driven by a collective spirit of collaboration and perseverance.

“Far from the Maddening Crowd” is a novel by Thomas Hardy, which explores themes of love, independence, and rural life. In the story, the protagonist, Bathsheba Everdene, seeks solitude and independence away from the pressures and expectations of society. So, “far from the madding crowds” refers to finding solace and peace away from the hustle and bustle of urban life.

Today I enjoyed solace and peace.

  • Wouldn’t it be funny to wake up with your partner…and reenact this famous Morecambe and Wise sketch together?   😀

  • My week has been a pretty exhausting week. It felt like a marathon with no finish line. Each day is a blur of unexpected challenges. By Friday, you’re running on fumes, mentally drained and physically spent. All you want is to collapse into bed and recharge over the weekend. I must admit to not feeling 100% last week. I was feeling a little under the weather.

During the week I managed to visit an elderly family member, in Bourne and I ate fish and chips with a friend yesterday, after work.

Ah, it is the start of lawn care season, and so I mowed the grass. Always feels refreshing to give the grass its first trim after winter. I enjoyed the fresh air and the neat lawn! The weather was very pleasant.  🙂

Enjoying the sunny weather is like being wrapped in warmth, with the golden rays kissing your skin. It’s the perfect invitation to do something leisurely outdoors. Gardening can be so relaxing. Feeling the world coming alive around you, is simply the best.

I managed to do a little photograph editing.

Later in the evening, I enjoyed a curry from my favourite Indian takeaway “Shah Jehan” 🙂

It has been a pleasant evening catching up with a few TV programmes.

  • Please note that “All” photographs posted on this website, were all photographed by me or with my camera (re photographs of me).

I occasionally ask someone to photograph me or I take my own selfies. I have various tripods and I can use a timer to take selfies.

This website is mainly to display my own photography. I prefer not to use other people’s photographs. I certainly would not use anyone else’s photographs without their permission.

I have never allowed anyone to use any of my photographs. I have never sold my photos, nor have I received any payment for any of them.
