I have visited Ireland, on a couple of occasions, with my daughter Catherine. We both have Irish roots, therefore It seemed like a good plan for us to travel together. She is my love and I could not think of a better person than to travel with her. Please bear in mind that I shot these photos before I bought the camera I have now. 🙂

Traveling to Dublin is an experience rich in history, culture, and charm. Whether you’re wandering through the cobbled streets of Temple Bar, exploring the architectural wonders of Trinity College, or enjoying a pint of Guinness in a cozy pub, Dublin offers a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere that captivates visitors from around the world. From its iconic landmarks like Dublin Castle and St. Patrick’s Cathedral to its lively music scene and bustling markets, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in Ireland’s capital city. And don’t forget to indulge in some traditional Irish cuisine along the way!

We travelled to Kilkenny. Kilkenny Castle is a historic castle, dating back to the 12th century. It’s known for its imposing structure, beautiful gardens, and rich history, making it a popular tourist attraction. The castle has undergone several renovations over the centuries and is now maintained by the Office of Public Works, offering guided tours to visitors.

The Peterborough Cathedral – This is one of my favourite buildings to photograph.
Peterborough Cathedral located in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England, is a magnificent example of Romanesque and Gothic architecture. It boasts a striking façade with three massive arches, intricate carvings, and towering spires. Inside, visitors can marvel at its grand nave, beautifully crafted stained glass windows, and the breathtaking fan vaulting in the ceilings. The cathedral has a rich history dating back to the 7th century and is a significant cultural and religious landmark in the UK.

No matter how many times I photograph the Empingham Church, it always looks different, every single time time.
St. Peter’s Church in Empingham, Rutland, overlooks the Rutland Water reservoir. It’s quite a unique sight, with the church standing on a hill above the water, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Despite the reservoir being constructed in the 1970s, the church itself has a much longer history, dating back to the medieval period. Its position by the reservoir adds to its charm and makes it a popular spot for visitors and photographers.
