  • This rose stood in all of its glory when I photographed it. A fragrant flower that comes in various colours such as red, pink, white, and yellow. It has a symmetrical shape with layers of delicate petals and a pleasing scent. Roses are widely cultivated for their aesthetic appeal and are often used in bouquets, gardens, and floral arrangements. They symbolize love, beauty, and romance, making them popular choices for gifts on special occasions like Valentine’s Day or anniversaries.

    A lovely Rose
  • It’s the end of an era. It’s always poignant when eras come to a close.

We are presently going through changes within our family circumstances. I used to pop home regularly, to visit family members, even after my divorce 18 years ago.  Unfortunately, things have now changed and Stamford will become just a memory .

Some of you already know that my dad passed away 7 years ago, however, I still had a good reason to visit Stamford regularly however, I probably won’t have a good reason to visit the old market town as often anymore, because my stepmothe does not reside there anymore.  I probably do not have a good enough reason to visit my old home town quite as often now.

We are now going through a transition period in the family. I will possibly visit Stamford to shop occasionally, however, this is where the story ends hometown.

    Goodbye Stamford

  • I was just sitting back trying to imagine what song I would sing to my hot dog. 🤣

How about this one?  😃  It is a favourite song.

  • Look at the size of this “Hot Dog!”

Recently, I had fun at the Stamford Fair. It was exceptionally quiet on the night, however, I enjoyed the atmosphere. It reminded me of my childhood. 🙂

Why should you eat your hot dogs immediately after making them? Because the sauce-ages.

Which type of hot dog is the most dangerous to eat? One that’s still alive.

Which type of hot dog is the most honest? A frank-furter.

Did you know hot dogs have passed NASA’s lengthy approval process for food that is allowed to be taken and consumed in space? Yes! Astronauts enjoy a hot dog or two when they’re feeling hungry. 😁

The first Hot Dogs started in 1867 on Coney Island, New York, when Charles Feltman, a German immigrant and baker by trade, invented the first hot dog as a convenient way for beachgoers to enjoy frankfurter sausages on a long sliced bun without the hassle of plates or silverware. 🙂

I ate all of this on my own. It was delicious.
  • Amy Winehouse – She did have an amazing singing voice. I loved to hear her songs. She was a British singer-songwriter known for her powerful voice, unique style, and deeply personal lyrics. She rose to fame with her album “Back to Black,” which featured hit songs like “Rehab.” Winehouse’s music blended elements of jazz, soul, and R&B, and her distinctive beehive hairstyle and winged eyeliner became iconic. Despite her immense talent, she tragically died at the age of 27 yrs in 2014. Winehouse’s legacy continues to influence musicians and fans worldwide.
