  • When I Walk With Your Hand In Mine

    Apr 15th, 2025

When I walk with your hand in mine,
The world feels softer, the sun seems to shine.
Each step we take is a quiet song,
A melody that says we belong.

The air grows light, the sky turns wide,
Troubles fade with you by my side.
    Fingers entwined, hearts in tune,
We chase the dawn, we hold the moon.

No words are needed, no grand design,
Just the warmth of your hand in mine.
A simple touch, a steady grace,
A little world we’ve made in this space.

And though the roads may twist and bend,
I’ll walk with you until the end.
For in your hand, I always find,
The home I searched for, all this time.

  • People Who Inspire Us

    Apr 15th, 2025

I would love to be someone else’s inspiration. 🙂

It is a great topic — people who inspire us shape how we think, dream, and act. Here’s a thoughtful take on it:

People who inspire you are those who:

Demonstrate resilience: They rise after failures, showing strength and determination — like Nelson Mandela, Malala Yousafzai, or your own parents who quietly endure challenges.

Pursue their passions fearlessly: Think of artists, athletes, or creators like Frida Kahlo, Lionel Messi, or innovators like Elon Musk — people who follow their heart no matter the obstacles.

Make a difference for others: Humanitarians like Mother Teresa or people in your own community who volunteer, teach, or care for others inspire through their kindness and selflessness.

Live authentically: Those who embrace who they are and encourage others to do the same — like Maya Angelou, Chadwick Boseman, or a close friend who never lets fear dim their light.

It’s not always about fame — sometimes the most inspiring people are ordinary folks around you, quietly leaving extraordinary marks on your life.

  • Don’t You Want Me Like I Want You Baby

This is such a catchy song by Rose and Bruno Mars 😀

  • Rambling Rose

    Apr 15th, 2025

Remembering old friends can be a bittersweet experience—sometimes nostalgic, sometimes a little sad, but always meaningful.

In memory of Herbert and Venus. Dear friends of my family. They were a lovely black family. I knew when I was a little girl. I have fond memories of them. F x

While it is common to hesitate in acknowledging the passage of time, there inevitably comes a moment when we must accept the transition into older age. Although I may have maintained a youthful appearance for some time, I choose to embrace the journey of aging as it gradually unfolds.

    The Grace of Old Age

The hands grow lined, the steps turn slow,
Yet wisdom shines with steady glow.
The years have carved their tale so deep,
Of love once found and dreams to keep.

The mirror shows a face now changed,
But not the heart—still vast, unchained.
For youth may fade like morning dew,
    Yet kindness lasts, forever true.

With memories rich and laughter bright,
Old age becomes a softer light.
Not just the end, but time to see—
    The beauty of life’s legacy.

  • Remembering My Father

    Apr 11th, 2025

Recently, it was the anniversary of when we said our final goodbyes to my father. I lit a candle in his memory #Dad. I cannot believe it has been 8 years since we said our final goodbyes to you.

My father had a strong Christian faith. He went to church most Sundays until he became too ill.

Easter weekend will always hold those saddest memories for me. ❤

Missing from my heart, however always remembered.

    Francis Charles de Souza ❤

    Love
    Frances x
