Me a few Christmas’ Ago

Do you recall the joy and excitement of your young children as they ran into their bedroom on Christmas morning, eagerly asking, “Has he been yet?” In response, you would playfully inquire, “Who?” to which they would joyfully shout, “Santa!” while jumping on the bed. It was such a heartwarming moment that made me want to gather them in my arms and hurry them downstairs to open their presents.

Those were truly wonderful days, and they remain fond memories that I will always cherish.

Ps Aww, one of my favourite memories is when Catherine, not so long ago, decorated a box with Christmas wrapping paper, and she rang my doorbell on Christmas morning, whilst wearing the box and shouting “surpremise!” It was one of the best Christmas presents ever. 🙂
White Christmas

I loved slinging this song. I felt as if I was singing along with my father. It was a favourite Christmas song, my father often used to sing at Christmas time. He had a base voice, and it sounded a bit like Bing. 😄

A Bit Over The Top

Why is it that every time I turn on the TV, I see a ton of black and white or brown and white couples? I live in England, and yeah, I have a brown and white background, but I think it can be a bit much watching TV sometimes since England is a predominantly white country. I’m all for balance on the TV, but I do not go over the top with anything unrealistic. Most of my friends are blonde, and I’m a brunette with slightly darker skin. My ex was white British. Most of our friends were white British.

One of my daughters is fair haired, and the other is brunette. One takes after me, and the other takes after my ex, who was fair haired and blue-eyed. I love both of our daughters. I gave birth to both of them!

I’m not racist because I come from a brown and white background.

You vowed to nurture our love, to keep that beautiful outlook alive, and together, we declared we would never turn our backs on one another. Yet, in these recent weeks, I’ve felt our love slowly slipping through my fingers like grains of sand. The weight of this realization crushes me; I’m shattered by the heartbreak that now clouds my heart. It aches painfully, feeling torn in two. All I ever longed for was a blissful “happily ever after,” just you and me against the world. I yearn to love you fiercely, but your walls have grown so tall, keeping me at bay. Now I understand—it’s time for me to break these chains and set you free. To free you from my love is the hardest thing I have ever done, but living in a world where I can’t be with you, is harder.

Goodbye, my love. I hope that when you look back, you will know that there was never a day I did not love you with all of my heart. Be happy.
