  • The Good Old Days

    Dec 17th, 2024

Can you remember when kids could just be kids for as long as possible? I really miss those times! Walking through the park, you’d hear kids laughing and playing, hopping, skipping, and jumping all over the place. Now, it’s just so quiet in the parks. What has happened? I guess technology took over. Video games are everything now, and all those fun games like hopscotch, elastics, marbles, British bulldogs, and kiss chase? Yeah, they’re pretty much extinct.

Do families even eat together anymore? Do they still talk together?

I loved growing up in the 60s & 70s, but somewhere along the way, we kinda lost track of what’s cool and what’s not. I suppose we’ve reached the point of no return.

The age of innocence – I miss the good old days sometimes, life seemed so much simpler back then.

  • Fashion/Clothing

    Dec 10th, 2024

    Q. SmileyRose, have you or your family ever worn traditional clothing from another country?

    A. My family has always worn clothing related to England, westernised clothing, only. My mum used to dress in fashionable 60’s clothing,

I mostly saw my father wearing an RAF uniform or suits. If he went out, he wore tuxedos.

My mother liked the Twiggy fashion.

I have only grown up in England, and I have mostly worn classic British fashion. I love classic  fashion.

My ancestors originated from the Britain & the UK before the RAJ & they were part of the British Empire, I’ve never seen photos of my grandparents etc wear anything different to what the British wore, even whilst living abroad.

I lived in Cyprus for 3yrs, I only wore British clothing.

The olour clothes I like to wear are the colours I like only. I am not royalty, I can wear whatever colour I like. I usually buy H

  • Grief Can Affect People In So Many Different Ways

    Dec 10th, 2024

Today, I found myself overwhelmed by a wave of emotions, a tearful moment that caught me off guard.

It’s that heart-wrenching realisation that I may never see someone again—their absence looming like a heavy shadow. I hold their memory close, cherishing every shared laugh and comforting glance.

The ache of missing their companionship cuts deep, a painful reminder of what once was.

Death feels like a relentless tormentor, a cruel thief that steals our loved ones and leaves us grappling with a void that can never truly be filled.

Grief can affect people in so many different ways.
