I enjoyed a lovely day at The Newark Air Museum, with a friend today. It stayed lovely and sunny for much of the day, however, I did feel a little windswept. The Museum is located on the former RAF Winthorpe airfield in Newark, Nottinghamshire, and is one of the largest volunteer-managed aviation museums in the UK. It houses an impressive collection of over 90 aircraft and cockpit sections, including significant and noteworthy models listed on the National Aviation Heritage Register. The museum spans 16 acres and includes two large display hangars that protect many exhibits from the weather, making it a suitable visit year-round.
Key highlights of the museum include a variety of aircraft ranging from military jets to helicopters and civilian planes, as well as an extensive collection of aviation artefacts and more than thirty aero engines. Some notable aircraft on display include the English Electric Canberra, Gloster Meteor, and Hawker Hunter.
The museum is also known for hosting special events such as Cockpit-Fest, where aviation enthusiasts can explore numerous aircraft cockpits brought in from across the UK and Europe. Additionally, it organizes Aerojumble sales and other themed events throughout the year.
You can enjoy the museum’s café and a well-stocked shop, often praised as one of the best specialist aviation outlets in the Midlands. The museum also supports educational visits, offering programs focused on World War II history and the principles of flight, catering to a wide range of audiences from school groups to aviation enthusiasts.

I can watch this film over and over again. I loved the soundtrack so much. The film starred Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron and Zendaya.

Lol I tried to sing “This Is Me” with Keala Settle…..well it wasn’t the easiest song to sing, put it that way..😃

I have watched “A Star Is Born” probably about 5 times, however each time I watch the film, I fall in love with it. I particularly loved the soundtrack from the film and Bradly Cooper and Lady GaGa seemed to have a great rapport together in the film. I loved it! 😀

I reside within a 20-mile radius of where I mainly grew up. I grew up in Rutland and Stamford, England.
I began my early years living in Cleethorpes, by the seaside (from a baby) and then I went to Primary School in Salisbury, Wiltshire. My school was Fisherton Anger Primary School.
I have travelled abroad with my Dad, who was in the British Royal Air Force.
I have never lived in the USA, however I did go to California, on a holiday once, just for a few weeks.

I want to see you be happy every single day of your life, and I’ll do whatever I can to make sure you always have a reason to smile.”
“I love you more than I ever thought was physically possible. You’re a ray of sunshine in my life, warming me up from the inside out even on the darkest of days.”
I loved singing this song, from the film “IF” 🙂

Aww “Blue” was a sweet character in the film “IF.” 😀
I have always loved the band “Blue.” In fact, my daughter Catherine and I went to watch them perform at the Peterborough Embankment, several years ago. I’m wondering where those photographs went.

What a wonderful and colourful film. I am so glad I went to the cinema, to watch the film “IF” this evening. The film was about a young girl and her “Imaginary Friends,” in fact, everyone should have an imaginary friend.🙂
I can remember having an imaginary friend. My daughter’s imaginary friend was called Nala, from The Lion King.😁
Without being a spoiler, this was a wonderful family comedy, however, there was a sad part in the film that made me wipe a few tears away.
A “Must Watch” film. The kids with love it.
The film stars Cailey Flemming as Bea and Ryan Reynolds as Cal.
I am wondering who my IF is. 🙂
