  • Goodbye Stamford (my home town), Here’s Where The Story Ends

    Apr 16th, 2024

It’s the end of an era. It’s always poignant when eras come to a close.

We are presently going through changes within our family circumstances. I used to pop home regularly, to visit family members, even after my divorce 18 years ago.  Unfortunately, things have now changed and Stamford will become just a memory .

Some of you already know that my dad passed away 7 years ago, however, I still had a good reason to visit Stamford regularly however, I probably won’t have a good reason to visit the old market town as often anymore, because my stepmothe does not reside there anymore.Β  I probably do not have a good enough reason to visit my old home town quite as often now.

We are now going through a transition period in the family. I will possibly visit Stamford to shop occasionally, however, this is where the story ends hometown.

    Goodbye Stamford

  • “You’re The One That I Want”

    Apr 16th, 2024

I was just sitting back trying to imagine what song I would sing to my hot dog. 🀣

How about this one?  πŸ˜ƒ  It is a favourite song.

  • A Hot Dog!

    Apr 16th, 2024

Look at the size of this “Hot Dog!”

Recently, I had fun at the Stamford Fair. It was exceptionally quiet on the night, however, I enjoyed the atmosphere. It reminded me of my childhood. πŸ™‚

Why should you eat your hot dogs immediately after making them?Β Because the sauce-ages.

Which type of hot dog is the most dangerous to eat? One that’s still alive.

Which type of hot dog is the most honest?Β A frank-furter.

Did you know hot dogs have passed NASA’s lengthy approval process for food that is allowed to be taken and consumed in space? Yes! Astronauts enjoy a hot dog or two when they’re feeling hungry. 😁

The first Hot Dogs started in 1867 on Coney Island, New York, when Charles Feltman, a German immigrant and baker by trade, invented the first hot dog as a convenient way for beachgoers to enjoy frankfurter sausages on a long sliced bun without the hassle of plates or silverware. πŸ™‚

I ate all of this on my own. It was delicious.
  • She Had An Amazing Voice

    Apr 16th, 2024

Amy Winehouse – She did have an amazing singing voice. I loved to hear her songs. She was a British singer-songwriter known for her powerful voice, unique style, and deeply personal lyrics. She rose to fame with her album “Back to Black,” which featured hit songs like “Rehab.” Winehouse’s music blended elements of jazz, soul, and R&B, and her distinctive beehive hairstyle and winged eyeliner became iconic. Despite her immense talent, she tragically died at the age of 27 yrs in 2014. Winehouse’s legacy continues to influence musicians and fans worldwide.

  • I’m A Foodie.

    Apr 16th, 2024

I am one of those people who believes in treating herself to some good food from time to time. I love to see nicely presented food on the table, especially when it tastes yummy.

Eating good food is like taking your taste buds on a delightful journey, with each bite offering a symphony of flavours, textures, and aromas that tantalize the senses. It’s about savouring every mouthful, feeling the satisfaction spread through your body, and experiencing moments of pure culinary bliss.

Thank you to the Bull Hotel last year. πŸ™‚

  • Watching A Helicopter Land

    Apr 16th, 2024

Watching a helicopter land can be quite mesmerizing, especially seeing it gracefully touch down and the rotor blades slowly come to a stop. It’s a testament to human engineering and skill.

  • The Little Mermaid

    Apr 15th, 2024

One of my favourite “Disney” films is The Little Mermaid. I have sung “Part Of Your World” on a few occasions, on the Karaoke site Smule.

“The Little Mermaid” is a fairy tale written by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. It was first published in 1837. The story follows the journey of a young mermaid princess named Ariel who dreams of living on land and falls in love with a human prince. She makes a deal with a sea witch to exchange her voice for legs, but things don’t go as planned. The tale explores themes of love, sacrifice, and the consequences of choices. It has been adapted into various forms of media, including animated films, stage productions, and books.

Me singing the song a few years ago, as a duet.

  • Diamonds πŸ™‚

    Apr 15th, 2024

    I’m a Marilyn Monroe fan. πŸ™‚

Marilyn Monroe was an iconic American actress, known for her beauty, charisma, and talent. She starred in numerous films during the 1950s and early 1960s, becoming a symbol of glamour and sensuality. Monroe’s tragic life and mysterious death have only added to her legendary status in popular culture.

I love the song “Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend’ from the film Some Like It Hot. πŸ™‚

I don’t need to be anyone else – I am Me!

Barbie is a fashion doll manufactured by the American toy company Mattel, Inc. Barbie has had numerous careers and outfits reflecting different roles and aspirations, making her a cultural icon since her debut in 1959. I still have my first Barbie, lol minus her hair. As a child I thought of becoming a hairdresser, so I gave my Barbie a haircut, and then I wondered why her hair never grew back lol πŸ˜†

    Barbie
    I’m Legally Blonde Sometimes πŸ˜‰

I used to have a Chuachau dog named Skampie and I worked for the Police. πŸ™‚
